The greatest difficulties in conducting the experiment were the vibrational effects on the insulated vacuum walls in zero-gravity that held the observed ice cubes. Even the lab-assistant performing the measurements had to be clad in breathing apparatus as his uneven breathing would have ruined the results. Additionally, he couldn't move for 30 minutes before the measurements as the system stabilized from the effects of opening the lab door...
